Kadiri Ikhana, the coach of the Super Falcons in Nigeria, has resigned from his position following the team’s performance in the CAN. Despite achieving the goal outlined in his contract with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Ikhana resigned, expressing personal disappointment for not bringing the continental trophy back to Nigeria. The Super Falcons were eliminated in the CAN semi-finals and lost the classification match against Cameroon 0–1. Ikhana cited certain terms of his contract as a factor in his decision to resign.
