Gerrard mentioned that he had a trial at Manchester United at the age of 13, and even Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to sign him for a seven-year contract. Despite being a fan of Ferguson, Gerrard refused the offer. He also mentioned that Chelsea tried to sign him twice, in 2005 and 2006, but he believes he made the best decision by staying at Liverpool, despite the challenges the club faced during certain periods.
