The Federal Bureau awarded him this rank based on his performances during the 2013 season. Richard Gasquet secured the No. 1 spot, a first for him since 2007. The following rankings were Gilles Simon at No. 3, Benoît Paire at No. 4, and Julien Benneteau at No. 5. Marion Bartoli took the top spot among women, even after announcing her retirement, following her victory at Wimbledon.
