Majid Bougherra, the captain of Algeria’s national football team, has been accused by the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) of accumulating two yellow cards, which should have resulted in his suspension during the match against Burkina Faso. However, Bougherra denies receiving a yellow card in the first leg and claims there is no record of it on FIFA’s website. The FBF had initially filed an appeal against the match referee, Badara Diatta, but sensing the failure of this reservation, they pursued other avenues to challenge Algeria’s qualification. Bougherra dismisses these accusations, stating that Africa has its charm, and people try everything for everything in football on the continent.
