Adidas has once again surprised Olympique de Marseille fans by unveiling a special jersey for the end of the year.
OM and its equipment supplier presented the 2013-14 fourth jersey this Friday. During the Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France matches, Olympique de Marseille will wear this new jersey, which draws inspiration from Brazil, according to the club’s equipment supplier.
“The blue identity base of Olympique de Marseille will have a strong Brazilian connotation,” specifies a press release from the Marseille club’s equipment manufacturer. This blue reminds us of the color of the Brazilian flag. We can also find the Brazilian identity on the collar and on the sleeve inserts with the subtle presence of the iconic Brazilian colors: yellow and green.
“Like the outfits developed by Adidas for the next World Cup, the Olympique de Marseille outfit, with Brazilian inspirations, is 40% lighter compared to the 2012 outfits. They are the lightest ever produced by Adidas; we also learn. These innovations will give players greater freedom of movement and comfort on the pitch.”
