It seems that Sadat Ouro-Akoriko and Dové Womé, both players for Free State Stars in South Africa, will not be able to participate in Togo’s friendly match against Morocco on November 14 in Casablanca. The players have been retained by their club due to important deadlines, specifically a Cup semi-final against Bloemfontein Celtic next weekend.
According to Ouro-Akoriko, the club refused to release them for the national team duties because if they were to travel to Morocco, they wouldn’t be able to return until Friday, impacting their availability for the crucial semi-final match.
As a result, Togo’s coach, Didier Six, will need to make adjustments to the team lineup for the upcoming friendly match. Ouro-Akoriko and Womé are described as essential players for Free State Stars, having scored two goals each already in the current season.
