Spain’s national football team coach, Vicente Del Bosque, has confirmed that he has signed a contract extension, keeping him in charge until 2016. Del Bosque, who led Spain to victory in the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship, already has Spain qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. His impressive coaching record includes 67 victories in 82 matches, with only three defeats in official competitions. The 62-year-old coach took over from Luis Aragones, and under his guidance, Spain has enjoyed remarkable success in international football.
