Rafik Djebbour has been enlisted on Wednesday to bolster the squad for the crucial match between Algeria and Burkina Faso in the play-offs for the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
Notably absent during the Fennecs’ (Algerian national team) 2-3 defeat in the first leg at the Stade du 04 Aout in Ouagadougou, the Sivasspor striker is set to join the team for training in Sidi Moussa.
A familiar face in the national team, Djebbour, a former AJ Auxerre player, has been a regular presence, participating in 32 matches and scoring 5 goals for the Greens.
Having spent nearly six seasons in Greece, the Olympiakos Piraeus center forward was subsequently loaned to the Turkish club Sivasspoor, where he managed to score 2 goals in 4 games with his new club.
