Yassin Bono, the Moroccan international and goalkeeper for Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club, faces a challenging task due to the injury of the team’s second goalkeeper, Habib Al-Watyan, who suffered a cruciate ligament tear.
Just a few hours ago, Al-Hilal announced Al-Watyan’s injury, confirming that he will undergo urgent surgery in the coming days for his cruciate ligament and meniscus.
As a result, Bono, the custodian of the “Atlas Lions,” will face a demanding schedule, expected to play in all upcoming matches without rest.
With Al-Watyan’s injury, Al-Hilal is left with just two goalkeepers, Bono from Morocco and the young Saudi goalkeeper, Ahmed Abu Raseen.
Bono, who has been the primary goalkeeper for most of the season, will now face increased pressure due to the youth and inexperience of the third goalkeeper, Abu Raseen.
This is the second cruciate ligament injury to hit Al-Hilal this season, following the Brazilian player Neymar da Silva, who also suffered a similar injury back in October.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Hilal Saudi Club officially signed Bono from Sevilla in Spain during the summer, with a contract duration of three seasons.
