Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed their starting XI for Sunday’s CAF Super Cup final against USM Alger at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

The South African club will be aiming to claim a third trophy of the season after winning the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup at the same venue and lifting the MTN 8.

Sundowns have made one late change to their line-up, with Cassius Mailula coming in for Nuno Santos, who suffered an injury during the warm-up.

Sundowns and USM Alger have both previously won the CAF Super Cup. Sundowns lifted the trophy in 2017, while USM Alger were champions in 2023.

The teams have also met in the CAF Champions League, with Sundowns winning when they faced each other in the group stage in 2020.

Sundowns approach the final in strong domestic form. They remain unbeaten in the Betway Premiership and lead the table with 26 points from 10 matches.

USM Alger, meanwhile, have endured a less consistent run in Algeria League 1. They are sixth in the standings, having collected 14 points from seven games.

Mamelodi Sundowns starting XI: Ronwen Williams, Khuliso Mudau, Ndamane, Aubrey Modiba, Matuludi, Marcelo Allende, Teboho Mokoena, Cassius Mailula, Morena, Matthews, Leon.

Substitutes: Goss, Mvala, Basadien, Aubaas, Zwane, Ndlovu, Rayners, Van Wyk.
