Real Madrid and Valencia players separated by security after half-time tunnel clash

Real Madrid’s players became involved in a heated confrontation with Valencia counterparts in the tunnel at Mestalla after the first half of their La Liga meeting on matchday 12.

Real Madrid led at the interval through goals from Federico Valverde and Arda Guler, but tensions rose as the players made their way towards the dressing rooms.

Spanish radio station COPE, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, said a dispute broke out between players from both sides in the passage leading to the dressing rooms. Security staff intervened to contain the situation and separate those involved before it escalated further.

The report stated that Real Madrid pair Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger were involved in the exchange. The confrontation followed 45 minutes of growing tension between the two teams.

The atmosphere had already become increasingly strained on the pitch, with players from both sides protesting against several refereeing decisions. That frustration carried over into the tunnel after the half-time whistle.
