Udinese linked with Catanzaro midfielder Franky Tchaouna

Franky Tchaouna, a Chadian-French midfielder at Catanzaro, is being linked with a move to Udinese in Serie A.

The 21-year-old joined Catanzaro from Enna on 24 July 2026 and has made nine Serie B appearances this season. Tchaouna has started 30% of Catanzaro’s league matches and played 441 minutes, recording no goals or assists.

A move to Udinese would take Tchaouna from Italy’s second tier to the top flight, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached or that a transfer fee has been set.

Tchaouna’s current contract with Catanzaro runs until 30 June 2029. He is listed as a central midfielder and has a market value of €250,000.

Catanzaro signed him on a free transfer after his spell with Enna during the 2025-26 season. Before that, he was part of the youth systems at Salernitana and Concarneau, having begun his development with TA Rennes.

He has featured regularly in Catanzaro’s league squad this campaign but has not appeared in the Italian Cup. The reported interest from Udinese comes while he remains under a long-term contract at the Serie B club.
