Eintracht Frankfurt make early approach for Elche full-back Buba Sangare

Eintracht Frankfurt have made initial contact with the representatives of Elche right-back Buba Sangare as they assess the possibility of signing the 19-year-old.

The approach was reported by journalist Matteo Moretto, who says discussions remain at a preliminary stage. No official offer has been made for the defender.

Sangare, whose full name is Aboubacar Sangare Traore, joined Elche from AS Roma in February 2026, initially on loan. His performances persuaded the Spanish club to make the move permanent, with Elche exercising their purchase option for €4.5m in June.

The player is now under contract with Elche until June 2031.

Sangare has become a regular presence in Martin Anselmi’s side this season. He has featured in 10 of the club’s first 11 La Liga matches, underlining his importance to the squad.

His current value is listed at €5m by Transfermarkt.

The defender’s profile was further raised after he helped Spain U19 win the European Championship in summer 2026. His performances have now attracted interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, although any potential transfer remains at an early exploratory stage.

Elche’s next fixture will be against Real Betis in the 12th round of the Spanish championship.
