Notsè is in heaven this Sunday. The city club, Anges FC, has just obtained its first title of champion of Togo just one season after its accession to the elite division. Olivier Yaro’s men, who only needed a draw, won 1-0 at Sokodé ahead of Tchaoudjo Athletic Club. A production by Jérôme Doué.
On the other hand, AS Douanes had believed until the end by dominating Maranatha 3-1 in Womé. The paramilitary club, therefore, remains 2nd with 57 points, two units less than Anges (59 points).
Anges FC had already finished as the champion of the inter-season. A historic performance for this club, which only reached D1 last year. Customs will be satisfied with the trophy of Saibou Badarou, who finishes as the “top scorer” of the season with 14 goals.
The known relegates!
The season ends this Sunday in Togo. And if Anges jubilate, Kotoko, Koroki, Etoile Filante, and TAC will play in the second division next year.
