Milan’s inconsistent start under Ruben Amorim continued as they suffered a 2-0 defeat by Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
The Italian side had produced a emphatic victory over Inter in the derby of anger, but were unable to carry that form into their fourth league-phase match against the Hungarian club.
Lenny Josef scored both goals for Ferencvaros, who held on to claim all three points despite being reduced to 10 men in the 77th minute when Yusuf Bamidele was sent off.
The result leaves Ferencvaros with a perfect record and 12 points at the top of the table. Milan remain on three points in 27th place.
Bournemouth maintain perfect record
Bournemouth also continued their winning run with a 3-1 victory away to Sparta Praha in the same round of matches.
The result keeps Bournemouth top of the table with 12 points from four games. Sparta Praha remain on four points in 19th place.
Elsewhere, Lyon and Real Sociedad drew 1-1.
Real Sociedad moved on to five points and sit 17th, while Lyon’s total increased to seven points, leaving them 12th in the standings.
