Burkina Faso recall Issoufou Dayo for AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign

Burkina Faso manager Amir Abdou has named his squad for the third and fourth rounds of the CAN 2027 qualifiers, with Issoufou Dayo returning from international retirement.

The Wydad AC defender announced in January last year, after the CAN, that he was stepping away from international football. He has now been included in Abdou’s latest selection after several months away from the national team.

Josue Tiendrebeogo is also back in the squad, while Sacha Banse returns after missing several months because of injury.

The Greuther Furth midfielder is among the 25 players chosen by Abdou for the upcoming qualifying fixtures.
