Castello Lukeba has changed his sporting representation, a move that has sparked fresh speculation about the RB Leipzig defender’s future at the German club.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who was a strong candidate to leave Leipzig during last summer’s transfer window, has now entrusted his interests to the renowned agency Excellence Sport Nation.

New agency raises transfer questions

Lukeba’s choice of representative is attracting attention because Excellence Sport Nation also manages several high-profile players, including Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni and Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo.

The defender came close to leaving RB Leipzig last summer, but a transfer ultimately failed to materialise.

His move to an agency with strong connections to leading European clubs has therefore fuelled suggestions that he could be preparing for another attempt to secure a move away from Leipzig.

Lukeba eyes next career step

The 23-year-old is understood to be positioning himself ahead of upcoming transfer windows, with the aim of being ready to consider offers from abroad and take the next step in his career.
