Algerian international Ibrahim Maza has admitted that playing for Paris Saint-Germain would be a dream, as speculation continues over a possible move to the French champions from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has openly expressed his admiration for the Parisian club, describing them as one of the best teams in world football alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal.

Maza’s comments come amid reports linking him with a potential move to PSG ahead of the next transfer window, with his performances in Germany attracting attention from several clubs.

Speaking about the possibility of representing the French side in the future, the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder made it clear that he would welcome the opportunity to play at the Parc des Princes.

“Of course, it would be a huge dream to one day play for such a prestigious club. We all know how great Paris Saint-Germain is. It’s one of the best in the world, on par with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal,” he said, as reported by Foot Mercato.

His admission highlights the appeal PSG continue to have among emerging talents in European football.

However, securing his signature could prove difficult for the Ligue 1 side, given Bayer Leverkusen’s plans for the young midfielder.

The German club reportedly regard Maza as an important part of their long-term project and are keen to keep him at the BayArena. Leverkusen are also said to be interested in extending his current contract, which runs until June 2030.

His contractual situation could make negotiations challenging for any club hoping to secure his services, particularly with his reputation continuing to grow.

According to Transfermarkt, Maza’s current market value stands at €50m, reflecting his rising profile in European football.

The Algerian international has gradually established himself as one of the promising young attacking midfielders at Bayer Leverkusen since his arrival.

At just 20, his technical ability and performances have helped attract attention beyond Germany, with PSG reportedly among the clubs monitoring his situation.

Although Maza has made his admiration for the French giants clear, there is currently no indication that a transfer is close.

For now, the midfielder remains under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2030, while the Bundesliga club look to secure his future.

His dream of eventually playing for PSG is clear, but whether that ambition becomes a reality remains to be seen.
