Omar Marmoush shortlisted for Tottenham goal of the month award

Egypt striker Omar Marmoush is in contention for Tottenham’s goal of the month award for October after scoring against Coventry City in the Premier League.

Marmoush’s effort is one of three goals from Tottenham’s men’s team included on the shortlist. He is joined by team-mate James Maddison, who also found the net against Coventry City, and Mathys Tel, nominated for his goal against Chelsea.

The award contenders also include four goals scored by Tottenham’s youth team, along with one from the club’s women’s team.

Tottenham began October with a 3-1 victory over Coventry City before recording consecutive 2-0 wins against Chelsea and Crystal Palace. Those three victories gave the club a run of three successive Premier League wins.

After nine rounds of matches, Tottenham are ninth in the Premier League table with 12 points.

Their next fixture comes in the 10th round, when they face Leeds United.
