Inigo Vicente directs furious insult at fourth official after Mbappe penalty

Racing Santander’s frustration boiled over during their 3-0 defeat by Real Madrid, with Inigo Vicente directing a profane remark at the fourth official after being substituted.

The Cantabrian side strongly disputed several refereeing decisions during the match, but their main objection centred on the penalty awarded to Kylian Mbappe. Racing players were also angered that video assistant referee technology did not intervene to review the decision.

Vicente was one of the clearest expressions of Racing’s anger. He left the pitch in the 82nd minute after manager Jose Alberto Lopez replaced him with Guliasvili.

As he made his way off, Vicente turned towards the fourth official and delivered an angry comment captured by DAZN cameras.

“My God, you have two fewer testicles!” he said.

In Spanish culture, the phrase is used to describe someone as lacking courage or acting cowardly. The incident reflected the tension among the Racing players during the closing stages of a match dominated by their discontent with the officials.

The penalty incident came when Mbappe received the ball inside the area and attempted to turn towards goal. The Real Madrid forward appeared to feel contact from Prati against his torso, and the referee judged the challenge sufficient to award a spot-kick.

That decision prompted strong protests from the home players, who questioned both the original call and the lack of a VAR review. Real Madrid went on to complete a 3-0 victory.
