Amine Harit praises Marseille's team spirit after Toulouse win

Amine Harit has praised Olympique de Marseille’s fighting spirit and togetherness after they secured a fourth consecutive Ligue 1 victory with a 2-0 win over Toulouse on Sunday.

Marseille continued their impressive domestic form at the weekend, with the result extending their winning run in the French top flight to four matches.

Despite securing all three points, Harit admitted that his side had to overcome difficult periods during the encounter, with Toulouse creating several opportunities.

Speaking to Ligue 1+, the attacking midfielder highlighted how the team’s ability to defend together and support one another during challenging moments had strengthened their collective bond.

“We conceded a lot of chances, but the fact that we fought and had some difficult moments brought us together a lot,” the attacking midfielder explained to Ligue 1+.

Harit believes Marseille’s recent results reflect the work being done by the entire squad, with the players showing greater determination and unity as the season progresses.

The Moroccan international was particularly pleased with the team’s consistency, describing their latest achievement as something worth celebrating given the competitiveness of Ligue 1.

“Four wins in a row in this Ligue 1, that’s nothing to scoff at.”

The victory over Toulouse represents another positive step for Marseille, who have enjoyed an encouraging run of results in the league. Their ability to collect maximum points in four successive matches has further strengthened the team’s momentum.

However, attention will quickly turn to European competition, where Marseille face a different challenge as they prepare for their next Europa League fixture.

The French side will travel into Thursday’s meeting with Bayer Leverkusen looking to carry their domestic confidence into Europe.

Unlike their recent Ligue 1 performances, Marseille have struggled to find consistency in the Europa League, having suffered three consecutive defeats in the competition.

That disappointing run has increased the importance of their upcoming encounter, with the club seeking to get their European campaign back on track.

For Harit and his team-mates, the challenge will be to reproduce the same fighting spirit and defensive commitment that have helped them collect four successive league victories.

Marseille will hope their improved understanding and collective effort can make the difference against Leverkusen as they look to end their losing streak in the competition.
