Savic and Muci goals send Trabzonspor up to third in Turkish league

Trabzonspor moved up to third in the Turkish league after beating Gaziantep 2-0 on Sunday in the 10th round of the season.

Stefan Savic opened the scoring in the final minute of the first half. Mohamed Salah delivered a corner into the penalty area, where Ernest Muci headed the ball towards Savic, who finished from close range.

Muci then added Trabzonspor’s second goal in the 61st minute with a powerful effort from outside the penalty area that found the back of the Gaziantep net.

The victory took Trabzonspor to 22 points, leaving them three points behind leaders Galatasaray. Gaziantep, meanwhile, slipped to 15th place with eight points after suffering their latest defeat.

Trabzonspor are scheduled to face Freiburg in the UEFA Conference League on 05 November 2026. Gaziantep’s next listed Turkish league fixture is against Kasımpasa on 06 November 2026.
