Adem Zorgane commits future to Union Saint-Gilloise with contract extension until 2031

Adem Zorgane has extended his contract with Union Saint-Gilloise until June 2031, committing his future to the Belgian club after attracting speculation over a possible departure during the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old Algerian midfielder has agreed to a new long-term deal, with Union Saint-Gilloise confirming the agreement in an official announcement on Saturday.

Zorgane’s decision to remain in Brussels represents a significant development after uncertainty surrounding his future earlier in the year. The midfielder had been linked with an exit during the summer, but he eventually stayed at the club and has now signed an extension that keeps him at the Belgian side for several more seasons.

His new agreement also underlines the club’s confidence in his contribution as they look to maintain their ambitions in the coming years.

Speaking after putting pen to paper on the contract, Zorgane expressed his satisfaction with the decision, pointing to his relationship with the players, coaching staff and supporters as important reasons behind his commitment.

“I feel good at the club and in Brussels. I have a good relationship with my teammates, the staff and the fans, and we all share the same ambition: to win as many matches as possible. I am happy and proud to be able to extend my contract with the club and I look forward to continuing to fight together to win trophies.”

The midfielder also made it clear that the collective ambition within the club played an important role in his decision to continue his career in Belgium.

For Zorgane, the opportunity to remain part of a team with ambitions of winning trophies was an important factor in reaching an agreement over the new contract.

His extension brings an end to the uncertainty surrounding his immediate future and gives Union Saint-Gilloise the assurance that one of their midfield options will remain at the club until 2031.

The agreement is also a boost for the Brussels side as they continue to build their squad around players committed to their long-term plans.

Having opted against leaving during the summer, Zorgane will now look to repay the club’s confidence by helping them achieve their ambitions in the seasons ahead.

His commitment provides further stability for Union Saint-Gilloise, while the Algerian international has made his intention clear: he wants to continue fighting for trophies with the club.
