Moroccan international Amine Adli has expressed his satisfaction after scoring in Bournemouth’s victory over Aston Villa to help the Premier League side book their place in the English League Cup quarter-finals.

The winger was pleased to find the net in front of the home supporters, particularly after struggling to score regularly at the stadium last season.

Speaking after Wednesday’s encounter, Adli highlighted the importance of connecting with the Bournemouth fans and described his latest goal as a special moment.

“I’m happy to score in front of our fans again; it’s always great to score at this stadium. I didn’t score much at home last season, so I’m really pleased with this goal,” the Moroccan winger said.

Adli delighted with weaker-foot finish

The Morocco international also reflected on the goal itself, admitting that he was surprised by how the finish came together.

Adli revealed that he used his right foot, which he considers his weaker side, to find the back of the net.

“I just tried to put the ball in the net with my right foot, which isn’t my stronger foot, but it went in, and I’m happy about that,” he added.

The goal provided another positive moment for the winger, who is continuing to establish himself at the Premier League club following his arrival from Germany.

Bournemouth enjoying five-match winning run

Adli also praised Bournemouth’s recent improvement after the club endured a difficult start to the season.

The Cherries have now recorded five consecutive victories, with the Moroccan attributing their improved performances to growing confidence within the squad.

He believes maintaining their hard work and positive momentum will be important as they look to continue their winning run.

“We went through a very difficult period at the start of the season, but now we’re really enjoying all these wins. Football is always better when you play with confidence, and we look forward to keeping up this hard work, because it’s always great to win games,” he concluded.

Adli’s Bournemouth career

Adli joined Bournemouth in August 2025 from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in a transfer reportedly worth €29 million.

The Moroccan winger signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.

Since making the move to England, Adli has scored five goals in 38 appearances across all competitions for the Cherries.
