Raphinha rallies Barcelona after PSG setback ahead of Real Madrid clash

Barcelona’s 4-2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain prompted an emotional dressing-room address from Raphinha, who urged his team-mates not to lose faith with the season still at stake.

The defeat in the Champions League came just days before Barcelona’s meeting with Real Madrid in the Clasico on Sunday. Several of the club’s key players, including Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, were unable to produce their best performances during a difficult night.

However, according to Cadena SER, Raphinha took on a leadership role after the final whistle. The 29-year-old forward spoke to the squad in an attempt to calm the atmosphere and restore their focus after the heavy loss.

Raphinha reminded his team-mates that the season was far from over and stressed that Barcelona’s hopes of reaching the next round of the Champions League had not yet been decided.

He also called on the players to prepare immediately for the Clasico and challenged them to show that the defeat by Paris Saint-Germain would not derail their campaign.

The Brazilian’s message was aimed at preventing the result from affecting Barcelona’s confidence before their next major test against Real Madrid.
