Kingsley Coman and Mohamed Simakan are expected to miss Al-Nassr’s Saudi league meeting with Al-Faisaly on Friday after medical advice ruled against their involvement.
The match will be played as part of the 11th round of the competition.
According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, Al-Nassr’s medical staff have recommended that both players continue their treatment and rehabilitation programmes rather than risk returning before they are fully fit.
Coman and Simakan are due to undergo further medical examinations in the coming days. The tests will assess their progress and determine whether they can resume group training before Al-Nassr’s next fixture against Al Wasl.
Al Wasl will visit Al-Nassr at Al-Awwal Park in the third round of the AFC Champions League Elite in the middle of next week.
Coman has been recovering from a hamstring injury, while Simakan has been dealing with an ankle-joint injury. Both players have undergone regular treatment sessions under the supervision of Al-Nassr’s medical team in recent days.
