On the 26th and final day of the MTN Elite One championship in Cameroon, Coton Sport de Garoua secured its 12th national title by winning against Njalla Quan with a clear score of 4-2. Tied on points with Astres de Douala (43) before the last day, Coton Sport’s victory allowed them to clinch the championship.
Astres de Douala, on the other hand, couldn’t hold on to a 1-1 draw against Unisport de Bafang. While Coton Sport and Astres will participate in the African Champions League, Union de Douala will settle for the CAF Cup after their 2-0 victory over New Stars.
As for Panther, Tonnerre Kalara, and Sable, they will play in the second division next year.
