Napoli v Bodo/Glimt: Zambo Anguissa set to return on the bench

Napoli will have home advantage when they face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, but Massimiliano Allegri’s side go into the match under significant pressure after a poor start to the season.

Napoli have won only three of their nine matches in all competitions under Allegri, drawing one and losing five. Bodo/Glimt’s energy and determination could expose those problems further and inflict another damaging defeat on the Italian side.

Such a result would increase the likelihood of Allegri leaving his position. The experienced manager’s future is already uncertain after Napoli’s difficult opening to the campaign.

Zambo Anguissa included in Napoli squad

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has returned to full training after being sidelined with a muscle injury.

The midfielder suffered a slight recurrence or contracture after a brief appearance against Fiorentina, but has since rejoined the rest of the squad. Napoli’s technical staff consider him available for selection.

Zambo Anguissa was named among the substitutes for the Serie A match against Venezia on 17 October 2026, although he did not come on.

Alisson Santos is also close to returning from a thigh injury. He impressed in the league with Sporting CP last season and could soon be available to Napoli.

However, Constantino Favasuli and Antonio Vergara remain unavailable to the home side.

Napoli’s expected formation is a 3-4-2-1, with Milinkovic-Savic in goal. Marin, Rrahmani and Badiashile are expected to form the back three, while Politano, Gilmour, McTominay and Di Lorenzo are set to operate across midfield.

De Bruyne and Giovane are likely to play behind Hojlund, who is expected to lead the attack.

Probable Napoli XI (3-4-2-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Marin, Rrahmani, Badiashile; Politano, Gilmour, McTominay, Di Lorenzo; De Bruyne, Giovane; Hojlund.

Blomberg a doubt for Bodo/Glimt

Bodo/Glimt have their own fitness concerns ahead of the match, with Ole Didrik Blomberg potentially unavailable.

The Norwegian club could also be without key player Hakon Evjen, as well as August Mikkelsen and Magnus Riisnaes. Their absences would further test Bodo/Glimt’s options for a match in which they will aim to take advantage of Napoli’s fragile form.

Bodo/Glimt are expected to line up in a 4-4-2 formation. Haikin is set to start in goal behind a defence of Sjovold, Gundersen, Aleesami and Bjorkan.

Auklend, Berg, Fet and Hauge are likely to make up the midfield, with Brynhildsen and Helmersen expected to form the attack.

Probable Bodo/Glimt XI (4-4-2): Haikin; Sjovold, Gundersen, Aleesami, Bjorkan; Auklend, Berg, Fet, Hauge; Brynhildsen, Helmersen.
