Napoli will look to recover from consecutive UEFA Champions League defeats when they host Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on 20 October 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 19h00.
The Italian club began their group-stage campaign with a 1-0 loss to Arsenal last month. Napoli then took the lead against Villarreal last week, but were eventually beaten 3-1 by the Spanish side, known as the Yellow Submarine.
The match comes after another disappointing result for Napoli domestically. They were beaten 1-0 by Venezia at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo last weekend, despite Venezia having failed to collect a point before that fixture.
Akor Adams, the former Sevilla striker, scored the decisive goal in the 49th minute to secure victory for the hosts.
Bodo/Glimt looking to repeat European run
Kjetil Knutsen’s Bodo/Glimt arrive with confidence after ending their own losing start to the competition. The Norwegian side suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in their opening match.
They responded last week by recording a narrow 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Arctic Circle. Fredrik Sjøvold scored the only goal of the game in the second half.
Bodo/Glimt reached the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League last season and will hope to match that achievement in the current campaign. Their recent win over Borussia Dortmund has strengthened their position after the opening defeat by Bayern Munich.
Napoli, meanwhile, will be seeking a first victory in the competition after losing to Arsenal and Villarreal. The meeting in Naples gives the Italian side an opportunity to respond immediately to their latest European setback, but Bodo/Glimt’s previous campaign and their win over Borussia Dortmund mean the visitors will not be expected to surrender easily.
