Omar Marmoush scored as Tottenham Hotspur defeated Coventry City 3-1, helping his side secure all three points in Monday night’s encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The forward found the net in the 58th minute, restoring Tottenham’s lead after Coventry had fought back to level the score in the second half.

Marmoush’s goal proved important in a match that also saw Ghana international Mohammed Kudus provide an assist before being forced off with an injury late in the game.

Marmoush delivers when Tottenham need him

Tottenham opened the scoring in the 14th minute through James Maddison, who finished brilliantly from the edge of the penalty area after receiving a pass from Kudus.

Coventry responded in the 49th minute when Jack Rudoni capitalised on a rebound inside the box to make it 1-1.

However, Tottenham regained the advantage nine minutes later. Andrew Robertson supplied the pass to Marmoush on the edge of the penalty area, and the forward produced a composed finish into the right side of the net to make it 2-1.

The goal restored Tottenham’s lead and put the hosts back in control of the contest.

Davies seals Tottenham victory

Tottenham had to wait until stoppage time to secure the result, with Ben Davies scoring in the 90th minute after connecting with a pass from Dominic Solanke.

His volley from the edge of the box completed the 3-1 victory and ensured Tottenham collected all three points.

Marmoush’s contribution was a key moment in the win, as his second-half strike helped Tottenham regain the advantage after Coventry’s equaliser.
