Omar Marmoush scored his first goal for Tottenham in the Premier League as his side faced Coventry City in the seventh round of the season.
The Egypt forward struck in the 58th minute with a shot from outside the area, restoring Tottenham’s lead to make it 2-1 against Coventry City.
The goal came as Tottenham continued to search for their first victory of the season, having gone through their opening six matches without a win.
Marmoush had needed 423 minutes of Premier League football for Tottenham before finding the net for the first time since joining the London club.
He became only the third Egyptian player to score for Tottenham, following Ahmed Hossam “Mido” and Hossam Ghali.
It was also Marmoush’s first Premier League goal in 159 days. His previous strike in the competition came against Crystal Palace, when he was set up by Phil Foden in a 3-0 victory.
The goal took Marmoush’s Premier League total to 11, while Coventry City became the eighth different team he has scored against in the competition.
Before facing Coventry City, Marmoush had scored against Newcastle, Brighton, Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brentford.
