Milford FC targeting top-four place as Golden Arrows await in Betway Premiership

Milford FC will look to strengthen their early-season challenge for a place in the Betway Premiership’s top four when they visit Golden Arrows on Saturday.

The club have won three of their opening eight matches, with only Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu recording more victories so far this season.

That record has put Milford FC among the leading sides in the early standings, while Marumo Gallants, Siwelele FC and Richards Bay remain the only teams yet to win a league match this campaign.

Golden Arrows will be aiming to halt Milford FC’s progress when the teams meet at 15:30 on Saturday. Their announced starting line-up includes Mbanjwa, Jiyane, Dlamini, Mabaso, Van Neel, Shezi, Maluleke, Mazwele, Khumalo, Zwane and Dion.

Milford FC’s team selection had not been confirmed at the time of publication.

The match is one of three fixtures scheduled for Saturday. Chippa United will face Kruger United at 15:30, before Sekhukhune United host Marumo Gallants at 18:00.

Sunday’s programme features one match, with Siwelele FC taking on Polokwane City at 15:30.

All four fixtures form part of the weekend’s Betway Premiership action.
