The CFFA will meet Young Africans in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at 12:00 GMT on Saturday, with the first leg taking place at the Azam Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Malagasy side, whose full name is Centre de Formation de Football d’Andoharanofotsy (CFFA), secured their place in this stage after impressively eliminating Lijabatho in the previous round.
They now face a Young Africans team widely regarded as favourites. The Tanzanian giants, commonly known as “Yanga”, will look to draw on their greater experience in continental competition and establish an advantage in the opening match.
The tie carries major significance for both clubs. The winner of the two-legged contest will earn a place in the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
The return match is scheduled for 21 October.
