Amad Diallo targets more goals and assists at Manchester United

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is determined to improve his goalscoring and assist numbers this season, admitting he still has plenty to learn from some of the club’s most influential attacking players.

The Ivory Coast international has identified Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo as teammates whose attacking instincts he hopes to learn from as he looks to become more productive in the final third.

“This season, I want to score more goals and give more assists. That is something that I want to improve,” Amad said.

The 24-year-old explained that creating opportunities and finding the net comes naturally to several of his teammates, making them valuable examples as he continues to develop his game.

“I want to learn also from other players, like Bruno [Fernandes]. For Bruno, it’s natural. From [Matheus] Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, Bryan [Mbeumo]. For them, it’s natural,” he added.

“I have to learn from them and it’s something I’m learning this season and will improve on.”

Amad has established himself as an important attacking option at Old Trafford, combining creativity, pace and versatility across the forward line. However, the winger believes improving his end product is essential if he is to reach the next level.

His ambitions come as Manchester United look to build greater consistency in attack under Michael Carrick. With Fernandes providing creativity and Cunha, Sesko and Mbeumo offering different goalscoring qualities, Amad hopes their influence will help him become a more decisive contributor.

The Ivorian will now aim to translate that learning into more goals and assists as United continue their Premier League campaign.
