Europa League: Amine Adli and Oumar Diakite among substitutes for Bournemouth v Sturm Graz
Bournemouth and Sturm Graz have confirmed their starting line-ups for Thursday’s Europa League meeting, with Amine Adli and Oumar Diakite both named among the substitutes.
The match, taking place on 15 October, is the clubs’ second fixture in the league phase of the competition. Adli is available from the bench for Bournemouth, while Ivory Coast forward Oumar Diakite is among the replacements for Sturm Graz.
Bournemouth will start with Petrovic in goal and a defence featuring Smith, Antonio Silva, Diakite and Julio Soler. Tavernier, Cook, Adams and Gannon-Doak make up the midfield, with Diego Rodriguez and Evanilson selected in attack.
Adli, who can offer pace and direct attacking play, will therefore begin the match on the Bournemouth bench and could be introduced later depending on how the game develops.
Sturm Graz have Khudyakov in goal, protected by Hodl, Matoshi, Gorenc Stankovic and Heil. Balbo, Petrovic, Quarshie and Malic are also named in the starting XI, with Beganovic and Seidl leading the attack.
Oumar Diakite will start among the substitutes for the Austrian side and could be called upon during the match. His introduction, like Adli’s, would give his manager another attacking option as the game progresses.
The two players will be the focus of attention for African supporters, although neither has been selected to start. Their potential involvement could provide additional attacking opportunities for their respective teams in the European fixture.
