Orlando Pirates and TS Galaxy confirm starting XIs for Betway Premiership clash

Orlando Pirates and TS Galaxy have announced their starting line-ups for their Betway Premiership match at the Orlando Amstel Arena this evening.

Pirates head into the game four days after losing the MTN8 final to Mamelodi Sundowns, but must quickly refocus as they attempt to keep pace with the defending Betway Premiership champions.

Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side are currently second in the league standings behind Sundowns and cannot afford to drop points at this stage of the campaign. Pirates have conceded only one league goal this season and have scored 16 times, making them the competition’s second-highest scorers behind Sundowns, who have 19 goals.

TS Galaxy have not played an official match for three weeks. Bernard Parker’s team entered the international break after suffering consecutive defeats against newly promoted Kruger United and Chippa United.

The Rockets are 12th in the table, with six points from seven matches.

Pirates have dominated this fixture in recent meetings. Last season, they beat Galaxy 6-0 at Mbombela Stadium after previously recording a 2-0 victory at Orlando Amstel Arena. TS Galaxy have never beaten Pirates at the Orlando venue since the club was established.

Pirates will start with Chaine in goal, behind a defence of Sibisi, Seema, Sigomoshe and Ndaba. Mokobodi, Selepe and Masilela are named in midfield, while Lungu, Appollis and Radiopane lead the attack.
