Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien have parted ways with head coach Nabil Kouki and his entire technical staff by mutual consent, the club has announced.
The decision brings an end to Kouki’s second spell—or tenure, appointed in July 2026—at the helm of the first team after just seven matches in charge across domestic and continental competitions.
During his time with the club, the Tunisian tactician oversaw five matches in the Tunisian Ligue 1 and two in the CAF Confederation Cup. However, CS Sfaxien have opted to make a change in the technical department as they seek to improve their fortunes during the ongoing campaign.
The club did not disclose the specific reasons behind the decision to end its working relationship with Kouki, who will leave alongside his assistants and the rest of the first-team technical staff.
The announcement comes just days after CS Sfaxien suffered a disappointing 1–0 home defeat to PS Sakiet Eddaïer on Saturday, October 10, in their Tunisian Ligue 1 matchday-five fixture.
The loss added to the pressure surrounding the club as they continue their domestic campaign while also preparing for an important assignment in continental football.
Kouki’s departure comes at a particularly delicate moment, with CS Sfaxien scheduled to travel to Côte d’Ivoire to face AFAD in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the 2026–2027 CAF Confederation Cup on October 17.
The Tunisian outfit will now have to address the coaching situation ahead of the encounter, with preparations for the continental fixture continuing amid uncertainty over the leadership of the first team.
CS Sfaxien will be hoping to navigate the transition smoothly and remain competitive in both domestic and African competitions as they look to put their recent setback behind them.
