Ghana has unveiled its preparation program for the upcoming return play-offs against Egypt in the 2014 World Cup. The Black Stars will begin training in Ethiopia from November 11 to 17, leading up to the match scheduled for November 19 in Cairo.
The choice of Cairo as the venue for the match has sparked controversy, as FIFA decided to proceed with the game after receiving security guarantees from Egypt. Some Ghanaians view this decision as unfair, but it seems unlikely that FIFA will reverse it. In response, the Ghana Football Federation (GFA) has decided to arrive in Cairo as late as possible on November 18 and depart as soon as possible.
The first leg of the play-offs saw the Black Stars dominate the Pharaohs with a convincing 6-1 victory. The return match in Cairo will determine which team secures a spot in the 2014 World Cup.
