Strasbourg midfielder Yassine Jessim delighted to represent Morocco
Moroccan international Yassine Jessim has expressed his delight at representing the Atlas Lions, describing the atmosphere during the national team’s recent training camp as wonderful.
The Strasbourg midfielder shared his excitement after returning from international duty, underlining the positive experience of joining the Moroccan national team.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Strasbourg’s French league encounter against Nice, Jessim said representing Morocco was a source of great happiness for him.
“I am happy to represent Morocco; we experienced a wonderful atmosphere during the recent training camp,” he said.
The youngster also highlighted the confidence he enjoys at Strasbourg, explaining that the trust placed in him by the coaching staff has allowed him to play freely and showcase his qualities on the pitch.
“The coach places great confidence in me, which allows me to play comfortably and express the style that inspires me,” Jessim added.
Meanwhile, Strasbourg coach Hugo Oliveira has praised the Moroccan midfielder’s distinctive approach to the game, highlighting the spontaneity, energy and liveliness he brings to the team.
Oliveira explained that Jessim’s style is influenced by street football, an element of his game that the coach particularly appreciates. He also commended the youngster’s natural flair and willingness to express himself during matches.
