Wilfried Zaha linked with Al-Ahli move after leaving Galatasaray

Wilfried Zaha, the Ivorian winger currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Libyan Premier League side Al-Ahli.

The 33-year-old became a free agent after leaving Galatasaray on 1 July 2026, having joined the Turkish club from Crystal Palace in 2023. Zaha helped Galatasaray win the Turkish title and the Turkish Super Cup during the 2023-24 season.

He spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan with Charlotte before returning to Galatasaray. During his time in Major League Soccer, Zaha made 44 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists.

A move to Al-Ahli would give Zaha an opportunity to continue his career outside Europe after spells in England, Turkey, France and the United States. His career includes 305 Premier League appearances, with 68 goals and 31 assists, while he also played 30 matches in the Turkish top flight.

Zaha began his senior career with Crystal Palace and later had two spells at Manchester United, as well as a loan period at Cardiff City. He returned to Palace permanently in February 2015 and remained there until his move to Galatasaray.

The reported interest from Al-Ahli comes with Zaha’s current market value listed at €2.5m, although his status as a free agent means any transfer would not involve a fee.
