Carlos Baleba made his first official appearance for Manchester United in their Premier League meeting with Tottenham on matchday six.

The Cameroon midfielder, 22, had been unavailable because of injury before returning to competitive action at Tottenham. He came on in the 59th minute as he began the process of regaining his match fitness and sharpness.

Baleba’s introduction marked an important step in his career following his move to Manchester United. The club will be hoping he can add strength and energy to their midfield as he builds up his involvement after his period on the sidelines.

The midfielder is particularly valued for his ability to win back possession, carry the ball forward and provide physical presence in the centre of the pitch. Those qualities are expected to make him an important option for his new side.

According to Transfermarkt, Baleba is valued at 65 million euros and is under contract with Manchester United until 2031.

He received an average rating of 7.4 for his first appearance, providing a positive indication as he returns to full competition.
