Bradley Barcola praises Andoni Iraola’s coaching at Liverpool

Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola has praised head coach Andoni Iraola’s coaching methods, highlighting the intensity he brings to training sessions and matches as the Reds prepare for a demanding Premier League campaign.

The former PSG winger believes Iraola’s approach can help Liverpool achieve their ambitions, particularly as the team prepares for Sunday’s clash against Manchester City at Anfield.

“I think he’s a very good coach. He has very good ideas. He puts a lot of intensity, whether it’s in training or in a match. I think it’s very good to work like that so that we can win all our matches,” Barcola said in an interview with Liverpool’s official website.

The 24-year-old also discussed his versatility in attack, explaining that he is comfortable playing on either flank despite preferring the left wing.

“He asks me to do what I can do, to play as usual, so I can play on the left and on the right. It’s true that I prefer to play on the left, but it doesn’t bother me to play on the right, so there’s no problem with that and I try to be ready to play left or right,” he added.

Barcola joined Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window and has made five appearances across all competitions since completing his move.

The winger will hope to make a greater impact as Liverpool enter a busy run of fixtures, with Iraola’s tactical flexibility potentially allowing him to feature in different attacking positions.
