Bayern prepare new Michael Olise contract

Bayern Munich are working to secure Michael Olise’s long-term future as Real Madrid continue to be linked with the France international.

According to Sky Sport, Bayern have begun exploratory discussions with Olise’s representatives over an improved and extended contract. The 24-year-old’s current agreement runs until 2029 and contains no release clause.

Real Madrid are reportedly expected to believe that Olise will remain in Munich unless they decide to make a concrete approach. Bayern, meanwhile, are keen to prevent uncertainty over his future from developing into a bigger issue.

An extension could place Olise among the club’s highest earners, alongside fellow attacking star Jamal Musiala. Earlier reports have suggested Bayern could consider a contract running as far as 2032.

Olise has become one of Bayern’s most important attacking players since joining from Crystal Palace in 2024. During his first Bundesliga season, he registered 15 goals and 19 assists, underlining his rapid development in Germany.

Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen previously insisted that the Frenchman would stay in Munich, while Sky reported in July that Olise had communicated his intention to remain with the German champions.

The latest negotiations could now determine whether that commitment develops into a new long-term agreement.
