Manchester United set €35m asking price for Joshua Zirkzee

Manchester United are prepared to consider offers of about €35m for Joshua Zirkzee during the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

The Netherlands international, who is of Nigerian origin, joined the club from Bologna in 2024 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Old Trafford.

Zirkzee, 25, has not started a match for Manchester United this season and has played only 70 minutes in all competitions. His limited involvement could speed up discussions over a possible departure in January.

Several Italian clubs have already shown interest in the former Bologna forward. Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and AS Roma are among the clubs monitoring his situation, with a return to Serie A emerging as a realistic option.

Manchester United would also be willing to consider a loan deal with an option to buy. However, €35m is now understood to be the club’s benchmark for a permanent transfer.

Zirkzee scored for the Netherlands during the international break, giving him several weeks to try to change his position at Manchester United. His opportunities under manager Michael Carrick are expected to play an important part in determining whether he remains at Old Trafford.

The striker is contracted to Manchester United until June 2029, with the club holding an option to extend the agreement by a further season. His estimated market value is €20m.

Zirkzee earns €6,556,231 per year in England, equivalent to 4,261,550,150 FCFA.

Manchester United’s next fixture will be their sixth match of the English league season, against Tottenham.
