JCA d’Agoe-Nyive and SARA FC win promotion to Togo’s first division

JCA d’Agoe-Nyive and SARA FC will play in Togo’s first division next season after securing promotion in the second-division play-off semi-final second legs on Wednesday, 7 October 2026.

Both ties ended 1-1, but the two clubs progressed on aggregate and will now meet in the D2 play-off final, with the second-division title at stake.

JCA d’Agoe-Nyive held on to their advantage against ASFOSA after winning the first leg 3-2 in Ablogame. A 1-1 draw in the return match gave the club a 4-3 aggregate victory and confirmed their place in the top flight.

The promotion marks a landmark achievement for JCA d’Agoe-Nyive, who finished top of the South group during the regular season with 22 points. It is the Agoe-Nyive club’s first ever promotion to Togo’s elite division.

In the northern zone, SARA FC advanced after a closely contested two-legged tie against Kakadl. The first meeting ended goalless before the teams drew 1-1 in the return fixture.

With the aggregate score level, SARA FC went through on the away-goals rule. The Bafilo club, promoted to the second division this season, have therefore returned immediately to Togo’s top flight.
