Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has seen his estimated market value rise to €90m in Transfermarkt’s latest Premier League update, putting him ahead of national team-mate Achraf Hakimi.

The 19-year-old’s new valuation makes him the highest-valued Moroccan player on the platform, with Paris Saint-Germain defender Hakimi remaining at €80m.

The latest figures were released as Transfermarkt updated Premier League player valuations following the opening weeks of the season.

Bouaddi’s rapid rise continues

Bouaddi’s valuation has increased significantly during 2026.

Transfermarkt valued the midfielder at €50m at the beginning of June, before Morocco’s World Cup campaign. His performances at the tournament, particularly in the opening match against Brazil, helped increase his profile.

The platform described his World Cup as one that was “rewriting his price tag” while assessing the growing interest in the young midfielder.

Morocco went on to reach the quarter-finals, with Bouaddi starting five of their six matches.

His performances were followed by a major transfer to Manchester City, who completed his signing from Lille on 26 August on a contract running until 2031.

Manchester City move made Bouaddi Morocco’s record transfer

Manchester City’s deal made Bouaddi the most expensive Moroccan footballer by transfer fee, although the exact figure was not officially disclosed.

Reuters reported that City paid an initial €95m, with a further €5m potentially available in add-ons.

At that stage, however, Bouaddi’s Transfermarkt valuation remained at €80m, level with Hakimi.

The latest update now separates the two Moroccan internationals, with Bouaddi’s estimated value rising by €10m to €90m.

Hakimi remains among Africa’s most valuable players

Hakimi’s €80m valuation keeps him among the most highly valued African players, but Bouaddi’s rise has given Morocco a new leader on Transfermarkt’s rankings.

The change also underlines the rapid development of Bouaddi, who has gone from a €50m valuation in June to €90m within a matter of months.

His age, performances, potential and high-profile move to Manchester City are among the factors that help explain the sharp increase.

Market value is not the same as transfer fee

Transfermarkt’s valuations are estimates of a player’s perceived market value rather than predictions of what a club would necessarily pay to sign them.

As a result, Bouaddi’s €90m valuation should not be confused with Manchester City’s reported €95m initial payment.

The latest figure nevertheless reflects the growing reputation of a Morocco international who has emerged as one of the most valuable young players in world football.
