Patrick Koffi has left Girondins de Bordeaux and joined Chateauroux in National 1 after a brief spell with the club.

The 24-year-old striker arrived at Bordeaux from FC Versailles during the summer, hoping to establish himself in the Girondins squad. However, Bordeaux’s difficult situation prevented him from making a single official appearance before his departure at the end of September.

Koffi did manage to make an impression during pre-season, scoring three goals for Bordeaux, all from the penalty spot. His move to Châteauroux now gives him another opportunity to revive his career and secure regular first-team football.

The forward joins a Châteauroux side that has endured a difficult start to the 2026/27 National 1 campaign, particularly in attack. The club had been looking for additional firepower and sees Koffi as a potential solution.

Koffi previously enjoyed a productive spell with Versailles, scoring 12 goals and providing one assist in 19 appearances for the club’s reserve side last season.

His arrival could provide a much-needed boost to Châteauroux as they look to improve their fortunes in National 1.
