Egypt FA to review national-team reports and commercial plans at 12 October meeting

The Egyptian Football Association will hold its next meeting on 12 October to review reports from the national teams, discuss the sponsorship of team kits and consider the organisation’s media policies.

The regular meeting will cover a range of issues involving Egypt’s national sides, as well as the Egyptian Football Association’s commercial and media operations.

The board will examine reports prepared after the latest international window, with the report on the senior Egypt national team expected to be among the main items on the agenda. It will also consider reports on Egypt’s 2007 and 2009 age-group teams, including their results and preparations for the next phase.

The senior side played 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Angola and South Sudan, as well as a friendly against South Africa during the international period.

Egypt’s youth team, managed by Wael Reyad, is competing in the North Africa tournament that serves as a qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations Under-20. The team has one remaining fixture, against Algeria.

Egypt’s under-17 team, led by Hussein Abdel Latif, completed its participation in the Friendship Tournament in Switzerland in sixth place.

The meeting will also address the sponsorship arrangements for the national teams’ kits. The Egyptian Football Association said the discussions formed part of its efforts to develop its sponsorship structure and make the most of commercial offers and opportunities.

It added that the aim was to support the national teams while strengthening the association’s financial resources.

A report on media policy will also be presented to the board, covering both the national teams and the Egyptian Football Association’s wider media operation.

The review is intended to improve media performance and establish a unified approach to communication by the association and its national sides. It will also seek to ensure consistency in the messages issued by the Egyptian Football Association and the teams, while improving communication with media organisations and supporters.
