Dawa Hotessa linked with Ethiopian Premier League move to Sidama Bunna
Ethiopia centre-forward Dawa Hotessa, currently with Adama Ketema, has been linked with a move to fellow Ethiopian Premier League club Sidama Bunna.
The rumour concerns a possible domestic transfer for the 30-year-old, who joined Adama Ketema from Wolwalo Adigrat on a free transfer on 1 October 2025. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the move remains unconfirmed.
Hotessa has made 50 Premier League appearances during his career, scoring seven goals and providing two assists. He is listed as a centre-forward and has represented Adama Ketema in the competition during previous spells with the club.
The striker’s career has included several moves within Ethiopian football. Before joining Wolwalo Adigrat, he spent the 2024-25 season with Hadia Hosaina, having previously played for Adama Ketema. His senior career began with Kidus Giorgis in 2013.
Sidama Bunna and Adama Ketema both compete in the Ethiopian Premier League, meaning the reported move would keep Hotessa in the country’s top flight. At present, Hotessa remains an Adama Ketema player, with the proposed switch to Sidama Bunna still only a rumour.
