Khulumani Ndamane: Braga linked with Mamelodi Sundowns centre-back

South African centre-back Khulumani Ndamane is being linked with a move from Sundowns to Braga in Portugal’s Liga Portugal.

Ndamane, 22, joined Sundowns from TS Galaxy in January 2026 and has since been part of a squad that won the CAF Champions League in the 2025-26 season.

He has made three appearances in the Betway Premiership this season, starting 38% of Sundowns’ possible league matches and playing 31% of the available minutes. He has also featured once in the MTN8 and started Sundowns’ FIFA Intercontinental Cup match.

The defender has not yet appeared for South Africa at the 2026 World Cup, according to his current competition record. Born in Sahlumbe, KwaZulu-Natal, Ndamane is right-footed and stands 1.83m tall.

His market value is listed at €1.2m, having risen from €800,000 when he moved to Sundowns from TS Galaxy. The transfer history records that earlier move without a fee.

Braga’s reported interest would represent a potential move into European football for Ndamane, who remains a Sundowns player. No transfer fee, agreement or probability has been established, and the rumour has not been confirmed as a completed transfer.
